A Day in Our Village Community Fair

This is our 6th year at ADiOV!  Stop by our booth and say hello.  We'll be distributing humanist information, talking to the curious, making new friends, and holding a free raffle for some irreverent t-shirts.  For the kids we'll have science-themed games, candy, and dinosaur coloring pages.  We always have a great time at the fair.  Admission is free.  Join us!

Professor Jerry Coyne, U of C Professor of Evolutionary Biology, will interview Andrew Seidel, Freedom From Religion Foundation Director of Strategic Response, about his new book, The Founding Myth:  Why Christian Nationalism is Un-American.  Friendly Atheist author and blogger Hemant Mehta will moderate.  You won't want to miss this.  Admission is free.  Read more about the event here.

Join us as we watch and discuss A Better Life:  An Exploration of Joy and Meaning in a World Without God  by Chris Johnson.  This uplifting documentary explores and celebrates what we humanists and other nonbelievers have to love and live for.  Johnson interviews 17 atheists--scientists, philosophers, actors, writers, bloggers, musicians and more--about what gives their lives and ours joy and purpose.  Admission is free.
